A touch screen adds a load and a reason for the cabinet to be at eye level. Both are siting decisions, not firmware settings.
A two hour peak without a restock
A cinema lobby fills twice a night and empties in between. A food court fills at lunch. In both cases the return rate tracks the release rate with about an hour of lag, and 24 bays are enough to cover the lag without anyone walking to a back room for packs.
Below that, a restock at 19:00 becomes part of the job. Above it, the cabinet is bigger than the peak and the extra bays sit full.
What the touch screen is for
A touch screen is used by the guest, not looked at from a distance. That makes it a different product from the 43 inch advertising panel on the 32 and 48 slot builds: the value is in the rental flow and in the venue directory, not in an ad impression.
Circuit and clearance
A 24 slot cabinet is a floor standing device with a screen, and a venue will ask three questions before it allows one in a lobby: what it draws, what it weighs, and how much floor it takes.
- A dedicated circuit, not a shared socket behind a plant.
- Front clearance for a guest to stand and for a technician to open the cabinet.
- A route to the loading bay that does not cross a fire exit.
