DC input means a power brick, and the brick needs a socket nobody else is using. Confirm the plug type for the destination market.
Concurrent borrowers decide the bays
Daily footfall tells you the size of the market. Concurrent borrowers tells you the size of the cabinet: the guests holding a pack at the same moment on the worst night of the week.
A 120 seat restaurant with a 40 minute wait can have 15 guests holding a pack at once. Eight bays with eight spare packs covers it. Eight bays with no spares does not, because half the bays sit empty until the first packs come back.
What to check before you buy twenty
The checks that separate a station that survives a year of Friday nights from one that does not.
- Bay springs and cables: the parts that wear first. Ask for the spare part list and the price of a bay assembly.
- Pack lock detection: a bay that reports a pack returned when it is not will bill the guest for a pack on the counter.
- Power at the counter: 36 W output and DC input on this build, with a brick that needs its own socket.
- Network drop behaviour: a station that stops releasing packs when the link drops is a queue at the till.
- Firmware language: the guest flow needs the language your guests read.
One step up
When the busiest hour brings more than 30 guests who might rent, the next order should be the 12 slot build rather than a second 8 slot station in the same room. A second cabinet in the same doorway doubles the bays but not the space, and the queue moves from the bar to the cabinet.
